PHOTOGRAPHY JOURNEY
IGCSE Photography - PEARSONS
In the first year, it was about familiarising yourself with the cameras, digital equipments and directing your own photoshoots.

First task: replicate a photographer from the options provided. I picked 'Cindy Sherman'

Second Task: We were given a theme, which was fragments. This project taught me about brainstorming using mind maps, planning photoshoots, mood boards, researching photographers as reference and the deeper meanings to their work.

We were also given the opportunity to join a co-curricular 'light photography' where we use LED lights to draw images in a pitch black room, wearing black clothing.

Over the summer, a task was given to create 'Summer Journal'. Capturing photos from Koh Samui and a journal that strongly reflected its culture.

Third Task: We began our personal investigation based on the theme Past Present & Future. I leaned more towards natural forms and using industrial tools and methods.
